Japan needs us.

photo from boston.com
Two posts in one day, but this one is by far more important. There has been another large explosion at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. The situation in Japan is getting worse by the hour, and my heart sincerely hurts for the people of this wonderful country to have to endure all of this tremendous pain. I am speechless looking at photos and videos. My heart truly goes out to the people of Japan.

That having been said, there is so much we can do to help. The easiest way is to donate to the Red Cross. Text "RedCross" to 90999 to donate $10 for relief in Japan. This really is such a small amount but can do so much for these people.

For now, I am praying every day and can only watch as the situation worsens in the hope that some time soon it will get better. People of Japan, all of our hearts are with you.
Keep fighting.
がんばって!!

great source to keep up to date with the situation:

  1. It really is a catastrophe. I can't believe how terrible the situation is, for a country so well prepared for the worst! The qualities of the Japanese people are admirable too--they are so orderly and well-mannered and have so much faith in the recovery of their country. My heart truly goes out to them.
