Foxes live under rainbows.

blouse- thrifted
shoes- Urban Outfitters
backpack- Domo backpack

IT'S DOMO-KUN! Hehe. this backpack is one of my prized possessions, and I mean that in the most serious way possible. I bought it with the intent of using it everyday for classes, but sadly wee-little Domo-kun is unable to fit my folders. :( However, I still parade him around whenever I can. I mean, he's DOMO!

Anyway, last week was spring break for NYU. I didn't go wild in Flordia or travel anywhere exotic, but instead went home to good old Pennsylvania and relaxed, relaxed, relaxed. A bit too much....(I am now feeling the effects of my extreme relaxation over break...) Along with being outside of a crowded city, PA brings endless, dirt cheap thrifting gold! I picked up this adorable blouse for about $3.00? Too cheap. I wore it today, paired with my trusty Urban heels that I have worn pretty much everyday this week, and decided to break out the red lipstick. Between the bow and red lips, I feel somewhat clownish, no? Clowns actually scare me...

Well, the night is still young, but due to my extreme lack of sleep this past week, I will be reading a play and sleeping promptly after. However, I started Akira Kurosawa's Dreams (ゆめ)and can't stop watching...I will post screen shots soon. The cinematography and stories are so beautiful! It's on Netflix watch instantly, so if you have Netflix, WATCH IT! It may seem slow, but it's worth it. Trust me.

おやすみなさい、みなさん!
Goodnight, everyone!

Japan needs us.

photo from boston.com
Two posts in one day, but this one is by far more important. There has been another large explosion at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. The situation in Japan is getting worse by the hour, and my heart sincerely hurts for the people of this wonderful country to have to endure all of this tremendous pain. I am speechless looking at photos and videos. My heart truly goes out to the people of Japan.

That having been said, there is so much we can do to help. The easiest way is to donate to the Red Cross. Text "RedCross" to 90999 to donate $10 for relief in Japan. This really is such a small amount but can do so much for these people.

For now, I am praying every day and can only watch as the situation worsens in the hope that some time soon it will get better. People of Japan, all of our hearts are with you.
Keep fighting.
がんばって!!

great source to keep up to date with the situation:

A look into the mind of my favorite stylist. Ever.

Alex White is one of the single most talented stylists in the fashion industry as it stands today. And also my favorite. Just pick up any issue of W and you'll immediately see why. How one mind can come up with such brilliant concepts is beyond me, but lucky for me (and the entire world), W has launched a wonderful new blog dedicated entirely to the amazing stylist herself!

If you go to W's website, on the right hand side, in Alex White's signature pink (or so I am told), a link entitled "Alex White Edits" lives directly under "Fashion", appropriately so. Click and take a gander. Your eyes will be in heaven. Exactly what are you seeing? A very, very rare glimpse into the mind of a top stylist. Through her blog, which she has promised to update more than once a week, Alex White will post pictures from photo shoots and various other things. Already her posts are filled with absolutely lovely pictures, including behind the scenes shots from the "Against Nature" editorial that appears in this months W. If you have ever thought of becoming a stylist, I think it's safe to say that this blog can be an enormous aid into seeing what stylists really do, and what inspires them to create the art they do. I've already bookmarked the blog and have been reading regularly. I mean, it's Alex White! What more could you ask for? Plus, her hand writing is adorable and one of a kind. Did you know that's actually her hand writing in the title of the blog? It's the little things.

Anyway, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Here are some from recent posts, along with behind the scenes pictures from the Against Nature shoot our lucky eyes get to see! Enjoy!

Cats are taking over the world. No, really.

I guess just wearing fur wasn't enough. Animal obsession taken to extremes. Cats on the runway. Absolutely. Madly. In. Love. Givenchy and Anna Sui Fall 2011 RTW.

And just in case you don't believe me:
